Junee North is a dynamic and supportive learning environment for our students. We are a K-6 school with 8 classes with a mixture of straight and composite classes. Our school has a strong reputation in the Junee community for providing a well-rounded education to our students.
Our strong discipline program ensures a positive learning experience for all. Our Behaviour code is Respect, Responsibility and Safe behaviour. Junee North provides a very cohesive and successful Literacy program throughout the school with innovative programs - Language, Learning & Literacy (L3); CAFE and Focus on Reading, as well as our involvement with the early Action for Success literacy and numeracy program. Our students receive a wide range of learning opportunities in dance, drama , technology (including coding and robotics), chess and choir. Our classrooms are thriving learning environments where our children are taught independent learning habits and provided with challenging learning opportunities catered for their needs. Junee North is staffed by caring, experienced and highly respected staff.
Junee North is one of two public schools which serve the Junee community of 4000 residents. The enrolment of 180 students is drawn from within the town and its surrounding rural area. Four buses deliver students to the school and a significant number of students walk. Junee North enjoys committed and continuing community support which enhances and reinforces all aspects of the work of the school. The school pursues a vision of being a safe, challenging and creative community school where students learn to live, and contribute to a self-managing, self-developing school using today's resources for today's students.
